Chocolate chip cookies are the perfect comfort food, cheat-day snack, and popular among kids of all ages. They even make the perfect bake sale merchandise for children’s bake sales and other community programs; school administration often encourages their students to participate. Not only are these delicious treats children-centric, everybody wants a cookie as soon as their smell comes wafting outside from the kitchen through the oven. Step One – Preheat the Oven; Melt the Butter

Preheat your oven to an exact 175 degrees Celsius. Get your baking tray ready. Line it nicely with butter paper. Also, put some butter, around a half cup, in a bowl and let it microwave for about 15 to 20 seconds so that the butter melts.
Step Two – Prepare the Batter’s Foundation
Now, take a separate bowl. You will use this for making the foundation of the batter. Use the butter from the oven and put in it two cups of sugar. Mix and whisk until they are completely blended and fluffy upon looking. Now, to this, add one tablespoon of vanilla essence. Separate an egg, a large one if possible, and add that to the mix. Now you want to mix it to perfection so that there are no lumps left.
Step Three – Make the Batter
In the mixture from the first step, stir in a cup of refined flour. Next, pour some chocolate chips that you have bought along with the rest of the supplies and around ¼ tablespoon of salt. Make sure you stir this thoroughly and keep pouring some flour. Since these are cookies, make sure you don’t stir too much, though, because that will mean you will have a tough mixture too cakey to be of any use.
Step Four – Shaping the Cookies
Across the baking tray, using a tablespoon, scoop out some cookies. Two tablespoons will make one cookie. Shape them up and start placing them on the tray with a healthy distance between each so that they don’t stick together. Now, put the tray in the oven and let the cookies bake at 175 degrees Celsius for about 9 to 10 minutes.
Step Five – The Cooling
You need to be careful as to when you take the cookies out. Take a peek and observe. If the edges are cooked, and the middle is only lightly raw, that is when you should take them out. Let them, under a ceiling fan, cool off and serve as desired.
